Muthukulam Raghavan Pillai got laurels, when he wrote 23 songs for the first Malayalam movie “Balan” and became the first Malayalam lyricist. L
ater he penned much more popular songs. Born in 1909, as the son of Veluppillai and Karthyayani Amma at Muthukulam near , he lead once the movie & theatre in Kerala.
He wrote script & dialogue for a lot of films and also acted an a comedian. He remained as a bachelor and died in late 80s.
