Prathap Singh

Born at Cherai in the year 1935 to the couple Konnan and Karthyaayni.  His mother was a music teacher. He did his studies upto matriculation.  Whilst working in PHED as a Draftsman, married Thangamani. Have three childrens Shreekala, Shreelatha and Pradeep.

Made his debut as a music director in 1967 for the movie ‘Mulkireedam’. ‘Muthu’ was another movie where his music compostion is still revered. He won the ‘Sangeetha

Nadaka Academy Award’ in the year 1974.
